The Ginza, Tokyo, Japan
The lights were just coming on in the Ginza Disctrict of Tokyo, Japan. I needed an image that suggested crowd and business people and motion. So when the street light changed I would run out in front of everyone in the crosswalk to the middle of the street. I'm dripping camera equipment and I can just hear them thinking, "Crazy American". But it was worth it. By handholding the camera in this light with 50 speed film (Velvia 50) I was able to capture the mood of the street and the motion of the pedestrians.
