Artist in business.

And there is that part of me being an artist in business. Well, I am that type of artist that sells my artwork and after all have a goal to be not just satisfied with the artworks I am creating, but to satisfy a circle of my artwork collectors with quality and beautiful art. I am (as an artist) a work in progress, but accent is on progress.

Then, there is that part of me being a woman, so I have different sensitivity on visual stimulus. My emotions are created differently and that is a positive thing that I will and am already using it in my artworks. Being a woman in art can only bring improvement in the artworld.

It didn't happen till I understood that an artist is not defined by selling artworks or by the success in the art world. There are artists that create just for the view of their family, or for a narrow circle of friends, but they are still creating and they are artists.

But what and from whom to learn?

As a novice, everything is wonderful and thrilling. I was surprised that I can paint, that I can create, that my photographs have good feedbacks from the audience. We all create for others as artists.

Compositions with square is something I am still exploring.

Wim van Velzen, March 2003 in German magazine NaturFoto said; "The square has some interesting possibilities. First of all, one never has to choose between horizontal or vertical position. Doing landscapes this means the width and space of a scene can be shown without leaving out the foreground. Something 35mm can not always do! And this way the eyes are drawn from the foreground into the landscape."
"To me a good (landscape) photograph, is a photo where my eyes are drawn all over the image and make some sort of route. As a photographer one can use forms, colours or visually striking parts of the subject itself. Nice is of course when all these different image elements come together and support each other." said Wim
